Engine Company Operations (ECOP)
FSC: 0205 Hours: 16.0 (Lecture: 4.5hrs / Lab: 11.5hrs)
Prerequisites: Age 18 and up, Interior Firefighter (ELIF), or Bucks Basic Academy, or FF 1
Description: This course provides instruction in the duties and responsibilities of an engine company. Topics include: fire behavior and spread in structures, positioning of apparatus, use of attack and backup lines, search and rescue, and water supply. A series of hands-on drills involving various engine company evolutions follows the classroom discussion.
Out of County Cost: $74, please make checks payable to the Schuylkill County Volunteer Firefighters Association on the first day of class.
